A Year of Breath (online)

  • Kingston ON Canada (map)

January 11th - December 19th, 2024 | 6:30pm-8:30pm EST - 1 Thursday evening/month

This course can be taken as a stand-alone workshop for anyone interested in breath, yogic breathing techniques, and prāna (the subtle energy of breath). This course is also a 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training module (counts as 2 modules).

One of the most powerful gifts Yoga offers us is a relationship with our breath. Although breathing is a fundamental survival pattern, it is, at the same time, so much more. It enables life and aliveness, and it invites us into the realm of the subtle through our nervous systems, our heart-mind, and our subtle energies.

Over the year, we will explore breath and prāna, the importance of breath, a variety of breathing techniques, as well as topics including the anatomy of the respiratory system, areas of breath, the anatomy of the subtle body, the relationship between the channels of the body, breath, and mind - and so much more!
