FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A $500 deposit is required with the application.

From there, the remaining tuition can be paid in the following ways:

    1. Remainder in full the first month of the program.

    2. Two payments (full tuition - $500 deposit / 2) - one payment in January (month 1) and the other in June (month 6).

    3. Monthly payments through an online portal that will automatically charge your credit card.

I am also open to other options. Make me an offer. :)

  • Great question. This is where Yoga and Āyurveda’s differences begin to show, with Āyurveda being a medical science.

First and most important, this course gives you a deep dive into your own practices for self-care and the maintenance of your health and your family’s health. We can practice on and with our immediate families - they are our initial guinea pigs!

Then, in order to become an Āyurvedic Lifestyle Consultant and eventually an Āyurvedic Practitioner, one needs to take and complete a Foundations Program. So, to go any further in Āyurveda anything, this is step 1.

This is also a course requirement for the 300-hr Āyurvedic Yoga Teacher Training described on this website.

And finally, to answer “what will i be able to offer my clients/students?”, the answer is education. With Foundations training, you can offer workshops on many powerful Āyurvedic topics like agni, ojas, seasons and seasonal practices, sense organ care, etc. Foundations training is not a level that allows you to make specific recommendations to folks (that begins at the lifestyle counselor level), however, you can educate them about the basic practices and they can choose if they want to explore them.

  • All sessions are recorded using ZOOM. If you miss class, you are responsible for watching the replay once it is posted and available in the classroom.

  • It is highly recommended. The retreat will also be available via zoom for the in-class content session component. If someone cannot make it in person, they can join us online via zoom.

  • The additional costs would be the travel to and from the retreat, and any additional references you might choose.

Program Teacher

Why am I offering this training?

After many years of practice and formal studies in Ayurveda, I wanted to offer a program close to home, in Canada, that would get us started in using these wonderful, simple, effective tools in our daily lives. I want to give you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of Ayurveda so you can apply it in your life and with your family - to promote health, resilience, and well-being. Ayurveda has been life-changing for me and I believe it can do that for all of us if we have the chance to dive into these teachings.
