First, let’s explore what “Mindless Eating” is. Do you:
· eat and then feel guilty
· Skip meals or eat too much
· Eat when you’re feeling emotional or eat for comfort
· Eat too quickly and not notice what you’re eating
· Ignore hunger or body cues of feeling full
If you eat mindlessly and want to change how you eat, the Mindful Eating workshop may be for you.
Together, we are going to explore six simple steps that you can start to practice right away.
We’ll learn the principles and practices of the Mindful Eating cycle.
1. Why do I eat?
2. When do I want to eat?
3. What do I eat?
4. How do I eat?
5. How much do I eat?
Where do I invest my energy?
Mindfulness promotes eating with choice and wisdom and acceptance of what is happening in the here and now.
Steps to Mindful Eating are simple, but not always easy.
Mindful Eating is a practice for everyone that can free you from reactive, habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and acting in ways that no longer work for you.
