In the past, people believed the earth was flat.
We accept that our eyes will worsen as we age. Why do we not question this fact?
Moshe Feldenkrais wrote that when your body is better organized, your vision improves.
Professional athletes have remarkable vision as well as hunters. In our modern day society, much of our time is spent with near vision as we are looking at progressively smaller screens, which degrades our vision.
In Norman Doidge’s recent book, The Brain Way’s of Healing, there is a chapter about the Feldenkrais Method® and how David Webber healed his eyes. He was legally blind and with the Feldenkrais Method®, he improved his acuity to 20/25. I met David when he visited my Toronto training, and he challenged my absolute truth that my vision cannot improve but just be compensated by glasses.
