I sit somewhere in between everything happens for a reason, and we have control over our own future. To me, it seems like such a delicate dance between feeling as sense of security and letting yourself feel the (sometimes awful) emotions that come with the natural flow of our lives. I will admit, that as I have gotten older and become more aware, I see things more clearly and feel that whatever is meant to be in your life will be, no matter how hard you try and resist.
But here’s the thing. There is no one way of letting go. It really doesn’t matter what it is, every situation, at every point in our lives, has us reacting differently. I truly believe that if we deny ourselves the ability to let go in whatever way we feel in that moment, we aren’t allowing ourselves to let go with grace.
Whether it’s moving house, getting a divorce, changing jobs, dealing with a terminal illness, removing toxic people and situations from our lives, or simply allowing ourselves to let go of what no longer serves us, we need to do so in a way that we can be at peace with. We don’t always need to be proud of where our life is. But that doesn’t mean that we have to compare ourselves to someone else’s highlight real. Because let’s face it – life is messy. It doesn’t care who you are or where you come from. And even though there is no art to letting go, doing so in any way that speaks YOUR truth is worth the venture.
Wishing you your most authentic journey in letting go.
