Let Your Yoga Dance is a fusion of breath work, gentle stretching, yoga and dance, set to an eclectic playlist of songs; a chakra-inspired meditation in movement! Dress for yoga class, bring a blanket or mat, and water bottle. NO PREVIOUS YOGA OR DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, everyone welcome! Get your heart pumping and your chakras spinning!
Dympna enjoys creative expression in all its forms, both as an observer and creator, she feels the healing power, spiritual awakening, inspiration and joy it provides enriches our journey. She is a singer-songwriter, musician and actor who has been in love with the practice of yoga since the early nineties. During her many trips to Kripalu over the years (studying yoga, kirtan, meditation, nutrition and just generally hanging out on their beautiful grounds in the Berkshires), she discovered the various forms of “yoga dance” offered there and fell in love with that too. She decided to train with Megha Nancy Buttenheim and achieved her certification in the fall of 2014 at Kripalu. She is delighted to be able to share, here at Janati, this wonderfully expressive form of joyous and fun, chakra guided movement, set to an eclectic playlist of songs. Dympna fulfilled another dream recently and moved from her tiny downtown home to a beautiful spot in the country where she lives with her three cherished teenagers, all of whom inspire her to continue to explore new adventures just as they do. She is blessed to have their enthusiastic support in all her creative pursuits. Dympna invites you to dance your yoga and see where it may lead you!
