Larry is a retired Brigadier General, Initiate in the Kripalu Line, cancer survivor, kayak enthusiast and dedicated yogi. He has taken his training through Kripalu in Advanced Yoga Posture, Yoga for Depression, Yoga for Recovery, Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy, YIN Yoga, and additionally studied with David Swenson (Ashtanga). Additional trainings include Thai Yoga Massage Therapy and Cranial Sacral Massage Therapy (level 3). He has taught hundreds of classes in the past 25 years, and participated in a research project on the affects of yoga on PTSD recovery with Queen’s University. For the past three years, he has led ongoing classes with those suffering with PTSD and co-leads a yearly retreat, the ‘Veterans Yoga Project’, for Vets/First Responders and their spouses. He is blessed with wonderful associates with whom he teaches mindful yoga and meditation (Mark Mckechnie) and outdoor adventure for ‘at risk’ youths with Steve Nash (Traditional Excellence).
His blend of gentle voice and yoga will relax you on the mats and allow your body, mind and soul to let go and recharge.
