Based on my nature, work and studies, I tend to read heavy, dense, thick and educational materials. To balance this out a little (key word, little) I love using my vacations to read something lighter or outside the boxes of Yoga & Ayurveda.
I was very pleased to get this book as a gift from my mother-in-law (thank you Margo!).
I’ll be honest, I had low expectations for the Misadventures of a Garden State Yogi… and yet it was fun, light, and still had enough Yoga and reality in it to maintain both my attention and for me to enjoy it a lot.
I really appreciated the sincerity, honesty and humour that Brian shares his story with. I am aware that I am so much in my own life and my own practice that I don’t know what’s going on in other peoples’ practices… This book offered me the opportunity to see look in on someone else’s yoga life – what he did, if it worked, how he felt, and how he integrated this practices into the fabric of his life.
If you are looking for something yoga, yet light and fun – this is a wonderful choice.
I’d love to hear what you think of the book. Feel free to share your comments with me below!
Enjoy!
