I’m also left wondering about how I can offer this is an ethical way with clients living with trauma, so called pathological rumination, etc. I’m thinking about clients that are easing there way into meditation and who benefit tremendously from guidance. I totally hear what dallas was saying about the “…notice this… notice this… notice this… ad nauseam”. I’m sitting with a sense of the potential tremendous benefits of restorative yoga for my hyper vigilant clients (most) and recognizing that meeting them where they are may mean providing my voice as an anchor at least when they are building up… Read more »
Support = Release! These words ring so true to me in so many contexts! To me I think of unconditional positive regard as that support to facilitate release in therapy. All my worlds are aligning! 🙂
Interesting that Restorative Yoga is called the Candy of all yoga. People need lots of props and zero muscle requirements. It regulates moods, energizes you and calms you down. It was said that one pose a day makes a difference. Impressive! The point of self care was explained very well.
