Welcome to Beginner Yoga!
When I first started dabbling into yoga (as most of us have), I started with a yoga DVD and my living room carpet. Not knowing anything about yoga I just jumped in and tried out the DVD. Looking back now I realize that may have not being the best idea since most of the time I ended up stretching too far in a pose (for the sake of the pose of course), and not listening to my body; hence achy and sore the next couple days.
What I should have done is seek out a beginner yoga class first so I could learn how to get in and out of poses safely, to learn what my range of motion was and to work with that, understanding and being ok with where I was in my own practice.
This is now why I choose to teach beginner yoga classes. To help you learn from where your beginning yoga practice is and assist you safely while on your journey to knowing what it really means to be a beginner yogi.
If you are ready to try yoga or are wanting to return to a yoga practice, come join me in learning to get in and out of poses carefully, to work with your own range of motion, learn to be kind and patient with yourself all while working with ease in your practise.
I look forward to our yoga together,
Renee, Namaste !
