Kerry’s teaching is filled with warmth, passion and a calm, attentive presence as she strives to make each individual student feel welcome and seen. Born and raised in Kingston, she spent a good part of her 20’s and 30’s living a busy urban life in downtown Toronto. It was here that she feel in love with yoga and found it to be the perfect escape from her go, go, go lifestyle. The sense of peace, happiness and calm she found on her mat, kept her curious and devoted to the practice, with an ever present urge of wanting to seek more of this ‘thing’ called yoga. After the birth of her two beautiful boys, her and her husband moved their family home to Kingston, to find a simpler life, surrounded by family. Over the last few years Kerry has devoted herself to finding how to bring her yoga practice off the mat into her daily life. She is thrilled that through her studies in yoga and new found passion of Barre, she is able to start offering Union Barre classes to her community. A class which she created to support students in developing strength and balance through grace. With clear instructions and modifications for every body, her classes will challenge you, making you feel strong, more centred, and alive. You will leave feeling great and notice results in your body, mind and spirit.
Kerry is a certified barre, yin yoga and 200 hr ytt instructor, received a honours bachelor of arts in psychology, post graduate diploma in sports administration and is deeply grateful to her family that means the world to her and her amazing, thoughtful, intelligent teachers Mona Warner and Kathryn Anne Flynn.
